As a surprise appearance by the Kahn pushed most of the Galaxy into voting me into being Custodian, I've just passed the Galactic reform that gives more trade value and am pushing down the Galactic Commerce resolutions for more tasty trade. From the inherent trade given by CEO's and the few Clerks scattered around from Housing districts, most of my worlds give around 200 trade value each with the trade focussed worlds giving much more. This allows room to build many more research, alloys and stronghold worlds.Ī lucky bonus I got was purchasing the Numistic Shrine, which gives priest and merchant jobs which is right up my alley. From this, my Unity and CGs are very high, I don't need to have any planet focussed on producing either, I've already finished all the Unity trees and am still making ~2000 EC per month from trade value alone. I managed to sway a Materialist neighbouring empire more Spiritualist with some choice Megachurch options, and quickly got them into a Trade Federation ("This is getting out of hand, now there are two of them!") for that sweet Trade League trading option. Hitting mid game currently and honestly its been a very fun and strong feeling run. This wasn't a super trade-optimised empire, with Authoritarian, Spiritualist and Xenophile as my ethics and Megachurch and Death Cult as my civics, so you could've picked up more trade bonuses from full Xenophile and other civics. Decided to try out a new trade focussed empire in the new patch, to see how the changes felt.
